Check your glucose on Apple Watch with Siri

With a personal voice link and a one-time Siri Shortcut, your Apple Watch can speak your glucose on command — no phone needed.

How it works

Ask My Glucose gives you a private voice link. You wrap it in a tiny Siri Shortcut once, and from then on ‘Hey Siri, my glucose’ speaks your latest reading on your Watch, iPhone, or HomePod.

Set up the Siri Shortcut
1
Copy your voice link
On your Ask My Glucose dashboard, create and copy your personal voice link.
2
Build a Shortcut
In the Shortcuts app: add ‘Get Contents of URL’ and paste the link, then ‘Get Dictionary Value’ for the key speech, then ‘Speak Text.’
3
Name it
Call the Shortcut ‘My Glucose.’
4
Ask your Watch
Say ‘Hey Siri, my glucose’ — it works on Apple Watch and HomePod automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my phone nearby?

The Shortcut runs on the Watch itself over its own connection; your reading is fetched from your account, not your phone.

Can each family member set this up?

Yes — on a family plan each person gets their own voice link so their Watch speaks their own readings.

Is there a true one-tap install?

Yes — someone with an iPhone can share the finished Shortcut as an iCloud link that installs with a single tap.
