Hear your Dexcom glucose on Alexa

Wear a Dexcom G6 or G7? Ask any Echo for your current reading and trend, spoken out loud — no phone in hand required.

How it works

Ask My Glucose reads the glucose you already share through Dexcom’s Share and Follow system, then makes it available to Alexa. We never touch the sensor — we read the number your Follow account already receives and speak it when you ask.

Then it is just a question away: ‘Alexa, ask my glucose what is my level,’ and you hear the reading, the trend, and how recent it is.

What you can ask

Everyday phrases:

  • ‘Alexa, ask my glucose what is my level’
  • ‘Alexa, ask my glucose for my daily summary’
  • ‘Alexa, ask my glucose which sensor am I using’
  • On Alexa+, say ‘Alexa, open my glucose’

Frequently asked questions

Which Dexcom sensors work?

Dexcom G6 and G7 (including the G7 15-Day), shared through Dexcom Share to a Dexcom Follow account.

Which login do I use?

Your Dexcom Follow account — the follower login, not the wearer’s primary Dexcom app login. Our setup guide shows exactly which credentials to enter.

How current is the reading?

As current as Dexcom Share provides. Every answer includes how many minutes old the reading is, and stale readings are flagged rather than spoken as current.

Is it a medical device?

No — it is an informational convenience. Always confirm on your Dexcom receiver or app and never dose based on it.
