Hear your FreeStyle Libre glucose on Alexa
If you wear a FreeStyle Libre 2, 3, or 3 Plus, you can ask any Echo in the house for your current reading — spoken out loud, with the trend and how fresh it is.
How it works
Ask My Glucose reads the glucose you already share through Abbott’s LibreLinkUp follower app, then makes it available to Alexa. Nothing touches your sensor — we simply read the number LibreLinkUp already receives and speak it back when you ask.
Once it is connected, you just talk to any Echo: ‘Alexa, ask my glucose what is my level.’ You will hear the reading, which way it is trending, and how many minutes old it is.
What you can ask
Common phrases people use every day:
- ‘Alexa, ask my glucose what is my level’ — your latest reading and trend
- ‘Alexa, ask my glucose for my daily summary’ — 24-hour average, low, high, and time in range
- ‘Alexa, ask my glucose which sensor am I using’ — confirms the active sensor
- On an Alexa+ device, say ‘Alexa, open my glucose’ instead
Works with FreeStyle Libre 2/3/3+ and Dexcom G6/G7. 14-day free trial, then $4.99/mo (family $9.99/mo).

Readings are as current as LibreLinkUp provides — typically about a minute behind your sensor. Every answer tells you how old the reading is, and stale readings are flagged.
